Howard Stern: “I Felt Like Such a Failure After Divorce”
Howard Stern told the Rolling Stone Magazine in an interview that he "felt like such a failure" after his divorce in 2001 with then-wife Alison.
Howard Stern, an American DJ and radio personality, spoke at length about his post-divorce coping and how he dealt with that sense of failure. Howard Stern has three children with Alison from their 20 year marriage and explaining the separation to them, Stern says, was the most difficult thing.
The host of the very popular radio show, The Howard Stern Show, told the magazine that he initially turned to sex and women for comfort but later realized the hollowness of it all and took refuge in religion.
"It felt like such a failure. I couldn't figure out how things went so bad. I still don't understand, I think I'll spend the rest of my life analyzing that," said Howard Stern
Howard Stern recently signed a new multi million, 5 year contract to continue with Sirus Satellite Radio, thus putting rumors about him being fired from the show at rest.
