Clear Channel's Interest in Howard Stern

Clear Channel Communication Inc. which is a home of popular conservative talk show is interested and eager in signing Howard Stern when the shock jock's contract with Sirius satellite radio expires, reports Rush Limbaugh. That would mark an about-face for the nation's largest radio chain, which yanked his show from its stations in 2004 after his raunchy broadcasts were repeatedly subjected to regulatory fines. The chief executive of Clear Channel's Radio division, John Hogan, informed Bloombery Business Week that Stern would have to abide by the government imposed limitations of terrestrial radio. In his $500 million contract with Sirius XM Radio Inc. which will expire this year, Stern however, did not have to face any such limitations because this Howard Stern show is distributed over satellite radio.

The Howard Stern show is one of the most popular radio shows and will for sure be sticking around for a few more years at least.
